The Capra Run Club

The Capra Run Club is designed to create a local community of like-minded and passionate trail runners. We offer three group runs per week, starting and finishing at the shop with the occasional destination change to keep things interesting. They are free and open to everyone.

 

Group Run Schedule

Social Saturdays - Everyone Welcome

9:00 –11:00/11:30am

Saturday mornings are changing a bit! We are now going to offer two pace groups, both starting at capra at 9:00am.

The original run group will remain a more casual and social pace. This group will be about getting out and having fun. There will definitely be stops for photos, and dogs (well behaved) are welcome.

Saturdays Quicker Pace

9:00 –11:00/11:30am

The quicker run group will will be a notch up in speed, and will cover closer to 15/16km (on the trails) in the two hours. For this group, it's probably best to leave Fido at home.

Tuesday Intervals **ON HOLD until Spring**

Evening quality session
6:00 –7:30pm

Since we have enough daylight, we are holding an Interval Session on Tuesday evenings.  We will leave from the store at 6pm, doing an easy warm up to the workout location.  The intervals will be in such a way that we all regroup after each hard effort...so nobody will get left behind.  Then an easy cool down back to capra.   Be prepared to work hard !

Thursday Nighter  **ON HOLD until Spring**

Post-work Shakeout
6:00 –7:30pm

With daylight lasting well in to the evening it's time for Thursday nighters again. We get together for a casual and conversational post-work run from the shop. This is a beginner-friendly, relaxed pace run, and is a great shake-out/catch-up for the week. We never leave anyone behind and regroup at all trail intersections. The run is normally between 60 and 90 minutes and will continue through Spring and Summer. For the month of September, we recommend bringing a headlamp.
