Capra Vertical Challenge

Vertical Challenge

Embrace the Climb

Trail running and hills are a natural combo, especially in the Sea to Sky. We have some unique terrain and an amazing network of trails, from the North Shore to Whistler, but it comes with a few climbs along the way.

We've all experienced the challenge of a big climb; the slower pace, the rhythmic grind, and the inevitable reward of reaching the top. And what goes up, must come down; heart beating, flying free, reaping the rewards of the uphill crawl.

It's time to embrace the climb, and celebrate both the suffering and soaring. Welcome to the Capra Vertical challenge.

Challenge Details

The weather is getting warmer, the days longer, and the snow is melting up in the Alpine, so it is time to jump start your training for summer adventures with the Capra Vert Challenge throughout the month of May.

We took a hiatus in 2020 with restrictions on many of our favourite uphill routes. We're back for 2021 in a more relaxed and casual version of the fan favorite #CapraVert

The challenge is simple - run/hike uphill as much as possible! You don't have to run everyday, like the 30x30...this one is just about stacking on as much vert as possible in May.

Run repeats on your favourite hill, or go for the mountain adventure and spend some time on the Chief. Choose your own adventure. The Challenge runs from May 01 to 31, 2021.

For 2021, there is no registration fees or store credits. Instead, we're giving out prizes for the most keen, the best photos, and a random grand prize draw among everyone that completes a minimum of 5000m this May.

Prizes & Victory

For 2021, the first 5 eager beavers to hike/run up 5000M of gain will each receive a $25 gift card to the store.

Everyone that completes a minimum of 5000M throughout the 31 days of May will be entered in a random draw prize for $100 to spend in the shop!

Share your Vertical Challenge experience and tag your photos with @caprarunning and #capravert for a chance to win extra prizes and be showcased.
